Ephesians 4:11–13 (God’s Word)
“He also gave apostles, prophets, missionaries, as well as pastors and teachers as gifts ⸤to his church⸥. Their purpose is to prepare God’s people to serve and to build up the body of Christ. This is to continue until all of us are united in our faith and in our knowledge about God’s Son, until we become mature, until we measure up to Christ, who is the standard.”
Spiritual maturity is not automatic. It is a process that requires discipline to achieve. In this class, “Discovering Spiritual Maturity’, we discuss the four spiritual habits of a healthy Christian. It is only through frequent repetition that habits are formed. When good habits are established, we become unconsciously inclined to do certain things without forcing ourselves into them. Pastors and teachers are the Lord’s gifts to His church to help Christians mature in their walk with our Lord Jesus Christ, but it takes commitment to these habits to attain spiritual maturity.
